Tourists in ChuckTown

Ernie has given this fair city a new name (see above)....
Since this is about the 5th time I've tried to write about our day and I keep having problems, I'm hoping this time it will work. I have given up on the photos tho..
This morning the focus was on fixing the car. Ernie tightened up some loose wires and that solved the electrical problem. He brought the car to a dealer to get the gear shift issue taken care of. The Chevy dealer put in a new mechanism; they said it was a factory problem that a lot of the cars of that type were having. So, they did not charge us for the work. Now we can remove the key from the ignition AND we have no electrical problems anymore. Yay!
So, after that we went to downtown Charleston and had lunch at "The Noisy Oyster". (Gail, there was shrimp & grits on the menu -but we didn't order that). Afterwards we walked around town and then went down to Battery Row and the waterfront - the homes are beautiful. We were heading for Folly Beach, but it was raining so hard we could hardly see the road, so headed back to the RV. By the time we got here, there was a lot of thunder and lightning very close to our area. Tomorrow we plan to take a bus tour and then visit 2 plantations. By the way, thanks to all of you who are reading this - it's nice to know you're following our travels and it's fun to share it with you. Now, if I could only get this picture posting done without messing it up, I'd feel really accomplished; it's always nice to have a visual:) - Joyce
