We went to Smyrna on Sunday to visit with cruise friends Karen & George. We had a very nice barbecue lunch and met a couple who moved to Smyrna from Oregon.
Karen's daughter and family stopped in briefly. With 5 kids, it made me tired just watching them.
After lunch we played a card game called "Hand and Foot". It was the men against the women, and we were told that the women always win. Even with Karen keeping score, the win streak was broken!!
When it was time to leave, it was discovered that the Amazing Race was on, so we stayed to watch it. We dined on more southern cuisine during the show. We said our goodbyes for now, and drove back to Hurricane Mills in the dark.
Now we are fixin to head for Crawfordsville Indiana. With that we will say goodbye to the southern hospitality we have been extended and continue heading toward the Northwest.

Enjoyed our time together. You guys have added pleasure and laughter to our lives. We had such a good time laughing at ourselves and enjoying hearing about your travels. we look forward to seeing you again and may just show in Feb for our mission trip with the church. stay in touch and as we say in the south, "keep it between the ditches". I am glad you made if safely back to the camper on those curvy hilly Tennessee roads. We enjoyed your visit so much. It was just to short. Next time you are here you have to stay awhile so we can show you around some of the history her in our part if the country. Keep the blogging up we really enjoy following along with you. Hope to visit you in your home in Feb. If we get to come I have to meet Skylar & Sheila along with the rest of the family. Keep following the girls on their blog because as you saw yesterday there is never a quite or dull moment in our lives.

Glad you got to visit with Karen and George and family. Sounds like you had a good time, sorry you girls didn't win the card game (the guys must have cheated). You have met so many new friends along your journey, you are truly blessed. Hope to visit with you guys again soon. Keep the cards and letters coming (sort of speak). Diane
