Left Charleston at 9:30 a,m., and arrived in Myrtle Beach at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Set up, had lunch and were preparing to head up to Wilmington N.C. when the power to the coach went out. After 10 minutes of investigating the cause, it was discovered that the breaker on the resort end was faulty. Their maintenance came over and installed a new breaker, and we were up and running again.
Headed out at 2:30 p.m for Carolina Beach in N.C. to meet Pat and Steph (Seattle friends) who were in N.C. for a wedding. We were trying to catch a 4:00 ferry, but were about 5 minutes late.
There was a sign on the door that the 4:45 run had been cancelled, so we opted to drive around.
We arrived at Carolina Beach at 5:30 p.m., had a beer, and went out for some take out barbecue.
Food was OK, and we had a nice visit. We took a walk along the boardwalk, and said our goodby's. and headed back to Myrtle Beach. Arrived back about 11:30 p.m.
Friday morning is a nice sunny, comfortable day. High today is supposed to be upper 70's.
(People here think it's cold!) This is the first day that we have been able to have the door and windows open. And without the AC running, we can actually hear each other.
Plan for today is to check out the local area, and hopefully get in the water. We will get some pictures during the day, and get some posted later.
