Touring Charleston (Wednesday)

We will be touring 2 plantations and we will be taking a bus tour of Charleston today. Yesterday we sat thru a 2 hour time share presentationto get free tickets for the above. It was pouring rain while we sat thru the presentation, so we didn't really lose much time. It's about $150 worth of tickets, so it worked out OK.
Joyce says that she has never seen it rain so hard. They had 2 inches in less than 2 hours. I have seen it rain that way when I was with Uncle Sam, stationed in Alabama.
When we got back to the RV park last night, it was raining so hard, and the lightening was right on top of us, that we spent about 15 minutes in the car waiting for the storm to let up, then we made a dash to the motorhome.
We will add some pictures later. Ernie
It is now later, so will add pictures. We toured the Magnolia plantation, then we went downtown and had lunch, and then took a 90 minute bus tour of old Charlston. The plantation tour was very interesting, and the bus tour was fantastic! Unbelievable amount of history here. It goes back to the 17th century. We decided that we would probably need a week to do justice to this area. This is definately on our "come back again" list. Anyhow, I will attempt to add a couple of pictures, and tomorrow morning it's off to Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

The spider is the biggest I have ever seen. It was under the eaves at the plantation, and was bigger than a silver dollar.
Till then, Ernie
